The recent changes to NDIS registration requirements have certainly proved challenging to stay on top of.
As SDA experts, our job at Disability Housing Solutions (DHA) is to keep up to date with these changes to ensure our services remain compliant and delivered to the highest standard. This means the participants in our homes, and the owners of these properties have their rights and interests safeguarded and protected.
Unsurprisingly, at times of changes and uncertainty, certain players will try and take advantage. Recently, we have heard of people in the SDA sector spreading misinformation for their own personal benefit.
One of the main myths being circulated is that SDA providers have to also be licensed real estate agents. This is simply not true. SDA providers must be registered NDIS providers which requires an extremely high level of accreditation and quality assurance.
At DHS, our NDIS provider status (held for a number of years), is evidence of our registration, and the outcomes we achieve for our participants and investors, is evidence of our expertise. People spreading misinformation about the NDIS and their competitors do not further the sector, they diminish it.
